Straight Up! To Canada Tour 2024
The iconic Paula Abdul has announced a fall 2024 Canadian tour named after her 1988 hit song "Straight Up!". She will be joined by special guests Taylor Dayne and Tiffany for 21 dates across Canada. The Straight Up! To Canada Tour 2024 kicks off on September 25th in Victoria, British Columbia, and wraps up in Sydney, Nova Scotia, on October 26th.

Abdul will be starting her tour only a month after guest-starring on THE MAGIC SUMMER 2024 TOUR with New Kids On The Block, which played in over 40 cities in the U.S. (plus one stop in Toronto, Canada).

Abdul is perhaps best recognized as an original judge on American Idol. She left the show after seven seasons, and has since been a judge on The X Factor, and So You Think You Can Dance, plus she was a panelist on The Masked Dancer.

The singer, dancer, choreographer, actress, and TV personality's music has been streamed over 100 million times worldwide.
She has sold 60 million records and earned numerous awards and recognitions including 17 MTV Video Music Awards nominations with five wins, two GRAMMY Awards, three American Music Awards, two Emmy Awards, two People’s Choice Awards, and five JUNO Awards.

Abdul began as a Los Angeles Lakers cheerleader at 18, and eventually became their head choreographer. She went on to choreograph music videos and live shows for Janet Jackson, Michael Jackson, Dolly Parton, ZZ Top, The Jacksons’ Victory Tour, and George Michael’s Faith tour.
She also provided choreography for several hit movies including “Can’t Buy Me Love”, “The Running Man”, “Coming to America”, "The Doors” and “Action Jackson”.

Virgin Records signed her and released her first album Forever Your Girl, which sold over seven million copies in the U.S. alone. The blockbuster album produced four chart-topping singles: “Forever Your Girl”, “Cold Hearted”, “Opposites Attract”, and “Straight Up”. She set a record for the most #1 Billboard charted singles from a debut album.

Her second album, Spellbound, scored two more #1 singles, “Rush Rush” and “The Promise of a New Day”, tying her with Ariana Grande and Diana Ross for the seventh most #1 singles for a female performer.

Following several successful national tours, Abdul did a 5-month residency at the Flamingo Las Vegas beginning in August of 2019/20.

She was the first entertainer to receive the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards Hall of Fame Award, and is a recipient of the Ellis Island Medal of Honor, the Harry Chapin Memorial Humanitarian Award, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Taylor Dayne's debut single “Tell It To My Heart” made her an international star in 1987. She followed the smash hit with seventeen Top 20 singles, including number one hits “Prove Your Love”, “Love Will Lead You Back”, and “I’ll Always Love You.”
Dayne has sold over 75 million albums and singles worldwide, earned two GRAMMY Award nominations, an American Music Award nomination, and an Emmy award, plus multiple New York Music Awards, and the New York Music Hall of Fame honors.

She ranked #18 on the Best Female Dance Artists of All Time list by Rolling Stone magazine. She has charted with hit singles in Rock, Pop, R&B, Dance, and Adult Contemporary.
Dayne wrote many of her own hits as well as Tina Turner’s “Whatever You Want.” She appeared in Elton John’s award-winning Broadway production of “Aida”, and played Fanny Brice on Broadway.
In 2019, Dayne released her memoir, “Tell It To My Heart”, which charted on Amazon’s Best Sellers List.
She has also appeared on The Masked Singer as “PopCorn”, RuPaul’s Celebrity DragRace as “Elektra Owl”, and as a judge on the Food Network show Battle of the Ages.

Tiffany earned two U.S. #1 hit singles with “I Think We’re Alone Now” and “Could’ve Been,” and set a record as the youngest female artist to top the Billboard charts with her debut album. She has sold more than 15 million albums.
In 2000, Billboard magazine ranked Tiffany’s album The Color of Silence as one of the “Top Ten Best Albums of the Year.”

She provided the voice for "Judy Jetson" in Jetsons: The Movie, and guest starred on "How I Met Your Mother", "That 80's Show", and "The Young & The Restless".
Tiffany has also appeared on Australia’s “I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here”, Food Network’s Rachael Ray VS. Guy: Celebrity Cook-Off, Celebrity Wife Swap, Celebrity Fit Club, Celebrity Ghost Stories and the Food Network Challenge.
In 2019, “I Think We’re Alone Now” went viral for an episode of "Umbrella Academy", which returned the song to iTunes charts around the world.
