Bad Bunny (real name Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio), his record label Rimas Entertainment LLC, and famed Latin music producer La Paciencia are being sued for $16 million for allegedly using a woman's voice on two songs without her permission, according to documents obtained by Rolling Stone magazine.

The lawsuit, filed on behalf of Tainaly Y. Serrano Rivera on Monday in Puerto Rico, alleges that she recorded a line of audio in 2018 at the request of her college classmate La Paciencia (real name Roberto Rosado), who is Bad Bunny's producing partner.

La Paciencia was named the #1 Latin Producer of the Year on Billboard's 2025 Year-End Latin Producers chart.

Rivera alleges that the audio she recorded was used on Bad Bunny's 2018 US Billboard Hot 100 song "Solo de Mi" from his X 100pre album, and the Grammy-nominated song "EoO" off his 2025 album Debí Tirar Más Fotos, without her consent.

The line that she claims to have recorded, "Mira, puñeta, no me quiten el perreo", roughly translates to "Look, damn it, don't turn off my perreo". Perreo is an intimate reggaeton dance style. Other loose translations include, "Look, damn, don't take my shit away," and, "Look, damn it, don't turn off my vibe".

Rivera is being represented by the same attorneys who are currently suing Bad Bunny in Puerto Rico on behalf of his ex-girlfriend Carliz De La Cruz Hernández for a similar $40 million claim of using her voice on two songs without permission.

Bad Bunny is scheduled to headline the halftime performance for Super Bowl LX on February 8th in Santa Clara, California.
