Sean "Diddy" Combs attorney Marc Agnifilo said Combs got a standing ovation from fellow inmates when the rapper returned to jail after avoiding convictions on potential life in prison charges, according to Associated Press.
Combs has been incarcerated at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, since his arrest on September 16th, 2024. Agnifilo stated the inmates said they "never get to see anyone who beats the government."
Combs was found not guilty of sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy charges, which carried maximum sentences of life in prison.
He remains in jail pending sentencing on two prostitution-related convictions, which carry a maximum sentence of ten years imprisonment each.
If sentenced with prison time, Combs is expected to be credited for the ten months he has served since his arrest.
