Sean “Diddy” Combs has been placed in solitary confinement at the Fort Dix federal prison in New Jersey, a source told PEOPLE magazine.

"According to the source, Combs was placed in solitary confinement in response to a bombshell report by NBC News that said Combs has spent thousands of dollars a month to live a more pampered lifestyle during his prison sentence."

"Combs was seen using a contraband phone to look at Instagram and sexually explicit photos that a former girlfriend sent him, a source close to Combs confirmed to PEOPLE. He allegedly has a 'jailbroken' tablet, which he uses to watch movies and documentaries, including the Netflix docuseries Sean Combs: The Reckoning, NBC News reported."

"Men allegedly cook special meals and clean for him, including cleaning his toilet and shower, while others do his laundry and give him massages. Inmates have sold him the antidepressant drug Remeron, per the outlet. He has also obtained a stash of premium liquor that he often drinks on the weekends, the source told PEOPLE."

The Bureau of Prisons reportedly declined to confirm whether Combs is in solitary confinement. Combs was allegedly placed in solitary for the first time in July 2026 after a fight with a fellow inmate. Combs is serving a 50-month sentence for transportation to engage in prostitution.

The low-security federal facility where Combs is incarcerated is located on a military base, and is the largest federal prison in the United States with over 4,000 all-male inmates.

"Although he was (previously) in solitary confinement, a source told NBC News that once he exited, he continued to receive the alleged perks that money can buy you in prison."

“He’s a billionaire. People are in awe of him,” the source told the outlet. “Money is power, especially behind bars.”
