UK rocker Dominic "Yungblud" Harrison, 28, has pulled out as Sunday's closing night headliner for the Cowboys Music Festival (CMF) in Calgary, Canada, according to a statement from the artist.

"To all my family in Canada I apologize for not being there with you all this weekend — I’m currently in a place where I’m working on myself and taking time off at home in the UK," Yungblud said in the statement posted to CMF's Instagram page Thursday.

"I’m taking this extremely seriously and facing head on what’s going on for the good of the long term," he continued. "I will never take any of this for granted and I will see you all soon. I love you all."

Up to 15,000 concert-goers were expected to attend Yungblud's concert for the 30th anniversary celebration of the festival. Organizers have announced replacement headliners DJ Steve Aoki and rapper Nelly.

Cowboys Music Festival is a massive 11-day event that runs concurrently but independently from the 10-day Calgary Stampede, The World's Largest Outdoor Rodeo. During this time, the oil-rich metropolitan city attracts over a million visitors. Both events will be holding closing day celebrations on Sunday, July 12th.

A statement from Yungblud's management assured "all other scheduled shows will go ahead as planned."

Yungblud's next scheduled stop on his Idols Tour is in Indianapolis, Indiana on July 28th, 2026.

Yungblud posted a video of himself on his Instagram page last week addressing fans during a headline set at his Czechia-based festival BludFest 2026 on June 27th.

"Lately I have felt so disconnected from everything. I have been trying my best to wake up every day. I have felt in pain a lot and I don't know why, for a long time. But every time I find your faces, every time I find your eyes, every time I look at you, I know I belong somewhere."

In the adjoining text he commented, in part, "In the past 10 years I’ve been on a million different journeys tried a million different sounds trying to figure out who I am or what I can mean to the world everyday whilst the world shouts back."

"The amount of hate and disbelief around me from strangers on the Internet or bitter musicians really weighs on my heart as all I’ve been trying to do for the past 10 years is spread love, build something I believe in and unify people in a safe space."

"I’ve been really struggling and this moment is a byproduct of my body releasing the wave of emotion that has hit me in the past year that I’ve been unable to process. I’m not gonna lie to you when I got off this stage I felt elated but 20 minutes later when I was in the shower on my own I had a breakdown."

"Our thoughts are with Dom (YUNGBLUD). We are sending him all our love and support, and wish him nothing but the very best during this time," the CMF said in a statement. "We want him to know and feel the true love he has here in Canada."
