Cardi B New Album Goes Platinum on Release Day

Cardi B released her new album Am I the Drama? Friday, and within hours it was certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

Shortly after release yesterday, the album achieved RIAA Gold certification for sales of 500,000 units, then Platinum certification for 1,000,000 units sold before the end of the day.

The 23-track album includes the 9x platinum song "WAP" featuring Megan Thee Stallion and the 5x platinum single "Up", both of which previously hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100.

Am I the Drama? is Cardi B's second album, following her debut Invasion of Privacy from 2018.
