JOJO SIWA $900 VIP TICKETS TO HELP SET UP SHOW & ORDER PIZZA

Updated: Apr 17

Love her or not, Jojo Siwa is everywhere these days. The music video of her song "Boomerang" has been viewed over 1 billion times on YouTube. The ex-TLC child star from Dance Moms has been attempting to carve a new niche with an older audience as she nears her 22nd birthday.

Today, I caught a short interview with Siwa talking to People about the "Dream Guest VIP" tickets for her upcoming North American 22-city tour JoJo Siwa Live in support of her 2024 EP Guilty Pleasure. Tickets Here

She said there are four VIP packages available per city at $900 each. She said the VIP would help her pick the set for the night, get to help during load-in, sit through soundcheck, do a meet and greet, get a piece of memorabilia, and maybe order pizza (it also includes a seat for the concert). She referred to each buyer of the package as her "bestie for the day".

This could be a real thrill for hardcore fans, but is it really worth $900?

I can't help but think of the situation that Gene Simmons from KISS is in right now. He recently offered "The Ultimate Gene Simmons Experience" to help load the "Gene Simmons Band" in to a venue at the cost of $12,000 for one fan and a friend. The lucky assistants would start the day with Gene for breakfast, help setup with the other roadies, be offstage to videotape the performance, plus join him for a song onstage. And get a signed bass guitar.

Again, this could be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for devout fans (with money to burn). However, Gene received pushback for the arrogance of the offer. On a related note, he's had to postpone 17 of 26 dates until next year (reportedly due to low ticket sales).

I'm not saying that Siwa and Simmons are alike, but I am suggesting that some of these entertainers need to read the room a little better. I personally believe that both artists' VIP experiences should not be sold, but rather given as prizes to fans via contests or giveaways.
