Justin Bieber will join previously announced co-headliners Madonna, Shakira, and BTS for the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final football (US soccer) game's first-ever halftime show, to be held at New York New Jersey Stadium (MetLife Stadium) on July 19th, Rolling Stone magazine reported.
"The halftime show will benefit FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which is looking to raise $100 million to provide children worldwide expanded access to education and football," Rolling Stone stated. "It has already raised more than half that amount and continues to head toward its goal with $1 from every ticket sold for matches being donated throughout the tournament."
Bieber said in a statement, "The FIFA World Cup brings the world together in a way nothing else can. I’m grateful to be part of this halftime show, and even more grateful knowing it’s already helping expand access to education for children around the world."
The half-time show, produced by Global Citizen in partnership with Live Nation and Done + Dusted, is being curated by Coldplay’s Chris Martin, who serves as the international curator of Global Citizen Festival.
Expected to run for 11 minutes, the show will include singer Burna Boy, characters from The Muppets and Sesame Street, plus the PS22 Chorus of elementary students from Staten Island (featuring Coldplay), conducted by Gustavo Dudamel of the Los Angeles Philharmonic orchestra.
Gianni Infantino, president of Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), said the show will "celebrate football, music and our shared values, ensuring a legacy that transcends the final whistle.”
