Thousands of memorial items for Ozzy Osbourne, including toy bats, teddy bears, guitars, candles, Black Sabbath shirts, letters, plaques, and albums have been gathered by officials in Birmingham, England, to send to his family.
Videos show massive amounts of tributes being stored by officials in plastic tubs.
Most of the items had been laid in honour at the Black Sabbath Bench and Bridge, where Osbourne's funeral procession passed. The site is located in Birmingham, where Osbourne grew up, formed Black Sabbath, and played his final concert.
Rolling Stone magazine reported that the Central Birmingham Business Improvement District (Central BID) "has transported thousands of tribute items from memorial locations to be sorted into a digital record and sent to Osbourne's family."
After everything is photographed, the flowers will be "mulched and bagged", according to the Central BID. This includes the purple flowers wrapped in black tissue that Sharon Osbourne and family were pictured placing at the Black Sabbath Bench. "At the wishes of the family, these will also be mulched into the special compost."
Ozzy died of a heart attack on July 22 at the age of 76.
