NME magazine reports that English singer Robbie Williams is on course to "achieve his 16th UK Number One album with ‘BRITPOP’, breaking a previous record set by The Beatles."
They quote the "Rock DJ" singer as saying that he wants the title "more than anything in my career right now."
Williams surprised fans with his previously unannounced 13th solo record BRITPOP that he dropped on Friday.
"Official Charts is reporting that Williams is likely to clinch the top spot yet again," NME continued. "Should he succeed this Friday (January 23), the singer would overtake The Beatles’ 15 UK Number One albums."
Williams tied The Beatles record last year with the Better Man soundtrack.
He is scheduled to play a concert for his Long 90s tour at London's O2 Academy Brixton on February 8th, 2026, plus three other dates in the UK.
