Taylor Swift's new album, released on Friday, has already broken several records according to The Hollywood Reporter.
"Swift released her much-anticipated 12th album The Life of a Showgirl on Friday, and not even 12 hours since its midnight drop, it’s already got the most single-day streams on Spotify in 2025 so far, the platform confirmed Friday morning."
"Apple Music, meanwhile, similarly confirmed that the album now holds the most single-day streams for a record this year. Amazon Music said it’s now the platform’s most-streamed album of all time for a single day."
The lead single, "The Fate of Ophelia", is now the most-streamed song in a single day on Spotify and Apple Music, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed.
Her film, Taylor Swift: The Official Release Party of a Showgirl, debuted at #1 at the US box office this weekend with over $33 million in ticket sales, states IMDb. The film chronicles the European leg of her Eras Tour in 2024, and documents the making of The Life of a Showgirl album.
On Saturday night, Swift dropped four new CD variants of The Life of a Showgirl, each featuring two acoustic tracks not included on the original release, Billboard magazine reported.
Swift and Kansas City Chiefs football star Travis Kelce announced their engagement in late August 2025.
