Taylor Swift Granted Restraining Order Against Alleged Stalker

Updated: Jun 12

According to NME, Taylor Swift was granted a temporary restraining order (TRO) yesterday against Brian Jason Wagner for allegedly stalking her at her Los Angeles home.

The 45-year-old Wagner, from Colorado, was ordered to stay at least 100 yards from Swift. The TRO expires on June 30th, 2025.

Billboard magazine reported that Swift filed for the restraining order on June 6th, 2025: “I am informed that Mr. Wagner made various statements about living at my property (not true), being in a relationship with me (not true), believing I am the mother of his son (not true), and needing to see me in person, all of which are untrue and disconnected from reality”.

NME further reported that Swift's court filing claimed that Wagner first showed up at her L.A. residence in July 2024. He is also accused of trying to steal her mail. He most recently appeared at her home last month, allegedly.

“I do not share publicly where I reside and have never shared my address or the location of my Los Angeles residence with Mr. Wagner,” Swift added. “Therefore, the fact that Mr. Wagner has determined where I reside and visited the property several times, refusing to leave and claiming to need access, makes me fear for my safety and the safety of my family.”

NME also disclosed that a background check showed that Wagner wrote “lengthy communications” to Swift from jail suggesting they were in a relationship.
