Updated: Apr 17

Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross of Nine Inch Nails, won Best Original Score (Motion Picture) for Luca Guadagnino's tennis love triangle film Challengers (starring Zendaya).

The high energy electronic, techno-based soundtrack album for Challengers was released on April 26, 2024, the same day as the movie's release in the US. Guadagnino reportedly told Reznor and Ross that the audience should be able to dance in their seats throughout the movie. Listening to the album now, the artists understood the assignment.

The critically-acclaimed Challengers (Original Score) soundtrack album is a little over 40 minutes long, with 16 tracks, all composed by Reznor and Ross, except two. The album charted three times on Billboard, including #4 on the Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart, #8 on the Soundtrack Albums chart, and #17 on the Top Album Sales chart.
