Diddy to Appeal Conviction & Four Year Sentence

Lawyers for Sean "Diddy" Combs filed a court document on Monday saying they would be appealing his convictions and 50-month prison sentence for transportation to engage in prostitution, according to The New York Times.

Regarding the convictions, Rolling Stone magazine said, "Combs, 55, has been in custody since his arrest last year. The Bad Boy Records founder who spun his music, media, and beverage businesses into a billion-dollar fortune, was convicted on July 2 of two counts of violating the century-old Mann Act. Jurors acquitted Combs of his three most serious charges: racketeering conspiracy and the alleged sex trafficking of [Cassie] Ventura and [a woman known as] Jane."

Rolling Stone further reported that on Combs' sentencing date (October 3, 2025), he pleaded for leniency, telling Judge Arun Subramanian, “if you give me another chance, I won’t let you down.”

However, the judge "admonished Mr. Combs for his conduct toward women, saying that he had abused former girlfriends physically and emotionally, and that his offenses had 'irreparably harmed two women.'"

Combs was sentenced to four years and two months of incarceration, plus the maximum fine of USD $500,000.

"In response to a request from the defense, Judge Subramanian recommended that Mr. Combs be incarcerated 'as close as possible' to the New York metropolitan area and considered for admission to a program for drug and alcohol addiction," The New York Times reported. "The Bureau of Prisons will make a final decision on where Mr. Combs will serve his prison term."

Combs is currently being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York.
