Further to our story of May 16th, 2025, Justin Baldoni has withdrawn his subpoena for Taylor Swift to testify in his $400 million countersuit against Blake Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds.
Today, TheWrap reported that a spokesperson for Lively said they were “pleased” with Baldoni's decision to end his “harassing” probe into Swift and her law firm.
The Rock Times reported last Friday that Swift had been subpoenad to testify by It Ends With Us (2024) film actor and director Baldoni in his countersuit against his co-star Lively, her husband Reynolds, and their publicist Leslie Sloane alleging civil extortion and defamation.
In December, 2024, Lively filed suit against Baldoni (and his company Wayfarer Studios) for sexual harassment and running a smear campaign against her, triggering the countersuit by Baldoni, who, according to CNN, alleged that the Lively/Reynolds pair and their team “hijacked” his film then sought to “destroy” his career.
The IMDb Summary of the film It Ends With Us (starring Lively and Baldoni), states the film "...explores love, trauma, and domestic abuse..."
The trial is scheduled for March 9th, 2026.
