Legendary film director and producer Steven Spielberg, 79, won a Grammy Award on Sunday, making him the 22nd person in history to achieve EGOT status (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar & Tony winner), alongside Elton John, Audrey Hepburn, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Rita Moreno, and Jennifer Hudson.

Spielberg's Grammy was for Best Music Film for the documentary titled Music by John Williams, which he co-produced with Ron Howard and nine others.

John Williams is known for composing the scores of classic movie soundtracks including Star Wars, Jaws, E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial, Superman, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Home Alone, Schindler's List, and the first three films of the Harry Potter franchise.

Spielberg has won two Academy Awards (Schindler’s List, Saving Private Ryan), thirteen Emmy Awards (including Pinky and the Brain, Animaniacs, Tiny Toon Adventures, Freakazoid!, Band of Brothers, The Pacific, and Taken), and one Tony Award (A Strange Loop).

“Thank you to all the Grammy voters, whose recognition of Music by John Williams means the world to me and our Amblin team, Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey, and congratulations to our partners at Imagine and the Walt Disney Company,” he said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter.

The film Music by John Williams is now streaming on Disney+.
